Students from the college of Social Work conducted a project that was focused on several programs within the Sioux City area that were seeking to improve their services for and communications with members of the population that are from traditionally disadvantaged and oppressed groups.

The students explored the historical conditions of each underrepresented group, focusing on a specific issue highlighted by the program they partnered with. They then analyzed how the issue presently effects each group and made recommendations for changes that agencies and other programs can make to improve quality of life for all groups in Sioux City.
