Graduate students in the University of Iowa School of Library & Information Science will partner with the Granger Public Library to evaluate and develop recommendations for youth services programming and outreach. The project will examine how the library can best provide responsive and engaging resources for children and their caregivers while supporting the community's evolving needs. 

Students will learn about Granger's community, existing youth services and programs, library resources, and the needs of local children and families. Students will evaluate the library's existing programming and identify opportunities to strengthen and expand services for young people utilizing research in children's literature, youth services, and child development.

The project will culminate in recommendations for the Granger Public Library's youth program. Recommendations may address programming priorities, specific age groups, partnerships, collections and resources, outreach, and strategies for engaging children and caregivers. The final recommendations will provide the library with ideas and resources that can inform future programming and help strengthen its role as a community resource for children and families.
