IISC will partner with Lyon County to conduct a comprehensive housing needs assessment and develop informed recommendations for county-wide housing policy.

County leadership recognizes the need for a data-driven understanding of housing demand, affordability, and development opportunities to support residents, employers, and long-term economic growth in Lyon County.

The project team will work with local officials to assess existing housing conditions, identify gaps in the local housing market, and evaluate future housing needs. The project will examine demographic and economic trends, housing affordability, workforce housing needs, housing quality, vacancy rates, and the availability of housing for residents at different stages of life and income levels. The team will also evaluate identify opportunities to increase the availability and diversity of housing throughout the county.
