Students in the School of Planning & Public Affairs graduate course Transportation Demand Analysis completed a parking study for the Waterloo’s downtown district.

This study will examine the supply and demand for parking in Waterloo’s downtown district in order to help the flow of commerce, to help the City make smart investment decisions for the future, and to consider ways that improvements could enhance the downtown “sense of place”. Survey responses from residents and input from downtown businesses, along with best practices from comparable communities, will help shape downtown parking recommendations related to development, signage, parking fees, enforcement, and more.
