Students studying public art practice in the School of Art & Art History will create a series of site-specific art installations along an existing community trail in George, Iowa.

As part of the Senior Design Capstone Course in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, a group of students will design new trail segments to create regional trail connections in Lyon County, Iowa.
Lyon County seeks to identify opportunities for new trail segments and trail extensions that create a more connected regional system serving residents, students, and visitors.
Granger - Highways 17 and 141 Trail Crossings
For their capstone project in Civil & Environmental Engineering, a team of students will partner with the City of Granger to design multi-use trail connections and segments that improve connectivity.
Bondurant - Trail Design Projects
For their capstone project in Civil & Environmental Engineering, a team of students designed multi-use trail connections and trail segments as well as developed engineering designs and cost estimates for the City of Bondurant.

Bondurant - Establishing a "Friends of the Parks" Nonprofit
Public Affairs graduate students in the School of Planning & Public Affairs partnered with the City of Bondurant, Iowa to support the creation of a "Friends of the Parks" nonprofit organization.
As Bondurant continues to grow and invest in its parks and recreation system, city leaders recognize the value of a community-based nonprofit that can deepen resident engagement, increase volunteerism, and expand fundraising opportunities to enhance and sustain local parks, trails, and recreational programming.
West Burlington Trailhead Park Design
Two urban & regional graduate students in the School of Planning & Public Affairs worked closely with the West Burlington Trails Committee to design a unique and multi-faceted trailhead park at a prominent community location.
