Lyon County - George Trail Art

Students studying public art practice in the School of Art & Art History will create a series of site-specific art installations along an existing community trail in George, Iowa.

The project will feature multiple original works of art placed at key locations along the trail, creating an engaging outdoor art experience. Throughout the design process, students will gather community feedback, refine concepts, and create artwork that is visually engaging, accessible, and appropriate for long-term outdoor installation.

By combining public art with the natural environment, the project will foster community pride while celebrating the landscapes and stories that make George unique.
