Sabula Municipal Dock Design and Engineering
As part of the Senior Design Capstone Course, Civil & Environmental Engineering students will evaluate and design a municipal dock along the Mississippi River for the City of Sabula, Iowa.

Clinton- Former YMCA Building and Site Redesign
As part of the Senior Design Capstone Course, Civil & Environmental Engineering students redesigned the old YMCA complex in Clinton, Iowa, including rehabilitation of the historic YMCA structure, demolition plans for an adjacent deteriorating structure, and designs for a new restaurant and entertainment venue.

Clinton- Downtown Building Renovation (Vinnie's)
As part of the Senior Design Capstone Course, Civil & Environmental Engineering students completed an evaluation and redesign of the building that formerly housed Vinnie's Lounge in Clinton, Iowa.

Clinton- Downtown Parking Lots Redesign
As part of the Senior Design Capstone Course, Civil & Environmental Engineering students will complete an evaluation and redesign of four parking lots in downtown Clinton, Iowa.
The parking capacity needs to be evaluated through conversations with neighboring property owners and based on demand, in addition to exploring options for resizing the lots if necessary. Drainage, lighting, surface, plantings, and entrances/exits need to be reevaluated and redesigned to correct for inadequacies and meet professional standards.

Hurstville Lime Kilns Site and Structural Improvements
As part of the Senior Design Capstone Course, Civil & Environmental Engineering students completed an evaluation of four historic lime kilns and property in Jackson County, including the kilns, rock crusher, two-span bridge, dike system, aqueduct, and stormwater management. They also provided designs to protect the structures as well as improvements to the property that enhance the visitor experience.

Monticello Floodplain and Prairie Restoration
As part of the Senior Design Capstone Course in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, a group of students completed engineering plans for the redesign of a riverside constructed wetland and a 12-acre flood plain and prairie in Monticello, Iowa.

Camp Courageous Multipurpose Trail System
As part of their Senior Capstone Course, Civil & Environmental Engineering students identified and connected points of interest on the Camp Courageous grounds with ADA-compliant nature trails for all campers to use.
