Film students from the Department of Cinematic Arts created short film profiles of Webster City residents, with the goal of telling personal stories of individuals who are working to make a difference in their community. 

Graduate student Ali Hval designed a 12-panel mural for downtown Webster City.  

The mural celebrates Webster City's past, present, and future with colorful paintings that each represent an important person or aspect of the community.  Ali painted the mural with the help of members of the community.

Students in the course Translation Workshop and Independent Study student Vanessa Guzman in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese translated documents into Spanish for Webster City and the Kendall Young Library in order to serve the community's growing Hispanic population.

Graduate students in the School of Library & Information Science provided a framework for digitizing thousands of archived local historical records that currently exist only as print documents in Webster City's Kendall Young Library.  

Students in the course Museums in a Digital World developed social media and digital engagements based on the special collections of the Kendall Young Library.

Graduate students in the School of Social Work conducted a study to better understand the pervasiveness, causes, and consequences of housing insecurity in Keokuk. 

Students in the Department of Rhetoric class Public Policy and Persuasion developed policy briefings for Keokuk community partners, with the broad goal of helping to ensure safe, sanitary, and secure housing options for Keokuk residents. 

Students in Nonfiction Film created short film profiles of Keokuk residents, with the goal of telling stories of individuals who are working to make a difference in their community and are contributing to its vitality and growth.

Students in the Department of Cinematic Arts worked with Keokuk residents who have contributed to the growth of their community with the work they do.  The film profiles help portray Keokuk from a variety of unique perspectives.

Students in the School of Art & Art History Graphic Design course developed a new branding and style guide for Keokuk.

As part of the ICIGO student organization within the Department of Geographical and Sustainability Sciences, students created maps of lead and copper utility lines in Keokuk. 

Students from the School of Journalism & Mass Communication created a strategic communication plan for increasing community pride and volunteerism in Keokuk.

MFA student Ali Hval designed murals with "prairie style" themes for two downtown Mason City locations as part of the community's "Building Our Brand" campaign.
